If anyone sends you such a headline, they are likely scamming you. But I'm just a hick from the heartland: I think everyone should be rich. I seek nothing in return. Go figure.
Thank you, sir. Maybe that's true back on the farm, but not in an investing context. I've always heard it the way I have it. But I like your version too, cuz. Go Hawks!
Well said Jim! I concur with your strategies and it appears you have the stamina to stay true to them. The only concept missing is of course, choosing companies that are building the world you want to see, enabling your enjoying non-financial returns in addition to the financial.
Point taken. The problem for me is that when I put on an altruistic filter I've gotten mugged by the market. Per the piece, my EVGO, TSLA, VLTA all were altruistic re: the environment. They have not done well. But I am all ears, sista.
Point taken. But if I go broke trying to save the planet, what good am I? I will do a review of the top environmentally conscious publicly traded firms, if you send them, to see if they are good money-makers too.
You are a mensch! You are a more dedicated and sophisticated investor than I am. I count and pay others to stock pick because I'm not good at it. The data indicates that you won't go broke, but you will reduce risks and find equivalent returns. My best all around is, like you, is Apple.
My 5 best performing publicly traded equities, trailing 3 months are:
I can give you worst performing too. I'll send you by email the reports only because I think you will find them interesting. Not anywhere near as good as the Berkshire annual report, which I still have the paper copies of, but good. Thanks for entertaining the dialogue. XOL
I was a huge fan of Vestas back in the day. I got the idea traveling through the rural areas of Denmark back in 1999. Their windmills were everywhere. Combine that with the push for wind in red states like Iowa, Nebraska, and Texas, where farmers and ranchers could make some extra coin with wind, I was all in. But the stock has performed poorly over long stretches. It's up around 15% over the last three months because everything's up with the promise of a Fed pivot, which has yet to truly materialize. I've long been intrigued by Mercado Libre. I've been out of Amazon awhile. It's tremendously sticky, but's also very abusive to small businesses, with absolutely horrible customer service. For a decade, I've tried to get my Crotty's Kids snafu fixed. You can't stream it, but used to be able to. They just send you to robots and AI and take zero ownership. I will check out the rest of your winners. Thank you for the dialogue.

Its not altruism. Its survival.

Your right on all points above. Thank you. XO
