Democrats want Trump dead.
Democrats have created a permission structure for violence against Trump and the GOP. It won't stop until they're crushed at the polls, and the CIA, DOJ and the Administrative State are de-politicized
When would-be-assassin Ryan Wesley Routh set up camp for twelve hours in the woods adjoining Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, he brought a GoPro camera to film his glorious moment in the sun and inspire future assassins. Routh was well-armed with weapons of war. He was so emboldened by Democratic rhetoric that he quoted their rallying cries verbatim. Routh wrote on X: "DEMOCRACY is on the ballot and we cannot lose.” He routinely railed against Trump, urging Biden to keep "America democratic and free.” In his 2022 self-published book Ukraine’s Unwinnable War, Routh wrote, “Iran…you are free to assassinate Trump.”
Ryan Routh is the latest in a long line of Democrats who’ve called for or engaged in violence against Trump, Trump staff, and Trump supporters. Only two months ago, Democratic small donor Thomas Matthew Crooks nearly assassinated Trump at a rally in Butler County, PA. Back in 2017, long before the frightening events of January 6, 2021––on Trump’s birthday, June 14––James Thomas Hodgkinson, a devout Bernie Sanders supporter, fired 70 rounds from a pistol and rifle at Republican Congressmen, their staff, and other persons practicing for the Congressional Baseball Game for Charity, seriously wounding minority whip Steve Scalise. On Facebook on March 22, 2017––only two months into Trump’s tenure––Hodgkinson had written: “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”
In May 2017, rabidly pro-Democrat comedian Kathy Griffin posed with a mock decapitated head of Trump. Imagine the outrage if this ghastly stunt was directed at Barrack Obama or Kamala Harris. Then there’s still-unpunished, still un-censured Democrat Representative Maxine Waters, who, on June 25, 2018, called for the harassment of Trump Administration officials in restaurants and other public spaces. Years before the 2020 election and its tragic aftermath, Democrats were gunning for Trump.
Democratic anti-Trump rhetoric is not just toxic; it’s a code to kill. Chief Hunter Biden apologist, Representative Dan Goldman, said, “He [Trump] is destructive to our democracy and…he has to be eliminated.” Rachel Vindman, wife of whistleblower Alexander Vindman, said on X after Sunday’s near-assassination, “No ears were harmed. Carry on with your Sunday afternoon.” The unmistakable message: Democrats want Trump dead.
Each of their Machine-coronated nominees, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, continues to truck in grotesque, demonstrably false, and violence-inciting caricatures of Trump as a Nazi sympathizer and dictator long after their left-leaning fact-checkers debunked them.
Biden: “It’s time to put Trump in a bullseye.”
Harris: “Trump is a threat to our democracy and fundamental freedoms.”
Biden: “There is one existential threat: it’s Donald Trump!”
Harris: “Does one of us have to come out alive? Ha, ha, ha, ha!”
Democrats disingenuously say they eschew “political violence.” If Democrats wanted to stop political violence, they’d have pursued Antifa/BLM rioters, murderers, arsonists, and thieves with the same maniacal fervor they later pursued J6 lookie-lo-grannies and QAnon crazies. Kamala Harris bailed out BLM terrorists instead.
When all other tropes fail to occlude their guilt, Democrats truck in the diabolical false equivalence of saying Trump and JD Vance are no different than would-be Trump assassins because they joked about single childless cat ladies or seek to secure our border. Per several Democratic pundits, from Don Lemon to Joy Reid to the ladies of The View, Trump “had it coming.”
Democrats simply refuse to disavow their incitements to violence against Trump. They are, in truth, doubling down on it. On Monday night, with Rachel Maddow on MSNBC––only ONE DAY after Routh’s assassination attempt––former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that Donald Trump is a "danger to our country and the world” while repeating the same Democratic lies about the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, which Trump has not read and has repeatedly disavowed. No words of concern for Trump, his golfing partner, or anyone else at risk.
In their laundry list of sins of commission and omission, Democrats are creating "a permission structure" for violence against the former President. So desperate are they for power that they no longer bother with plausible deniability. They are saying the quiet part out loud, damn their narrative of “saving democracy.”
Their sick gambit centers around several media-amplified lies. 1. "Trump is Hitler" (who wouldn’t want Hitler murdered?); 2. "Trump is an authoritarian" (that gets the beta males onboard) ; 3. "Trump is Putin's puppet" (that motivates the Dems’ forever-war NeoCon pals); 4. "Trump is a threat to democracy,” which gets everyone else in line, neglecting that the most destructive threats to our republic over the last decade mainly came from Democrats: the Democrat-enabled Summer of Insurrection, the Democrat nine-year legal and inter-governmental war on Trump and his supporters, the Democrat-enabled open border, and the Democratic push to Defund the Police.
It's no surprise that the relentlessly repeated Democratic talking points trickle down into the minds of willing executioners like Crooks, Hodgkinson, and Routh. Even if a potential Trump assassin has no publicly expressed motive, Democrats will say, "he’s crazy” or “motivated by Trump’s rhetoric,” knowing that they created the open-hunting environment for evil to occur. And if an assassin's stated motives come dangerously close to Democratic talking points––Routh swallowed whole the Hillary-concocted Steele Dossier lies, believing that Trump was Putin's puppet and thus not sufficiently bellicose on Ukraine––they focus on failures of law enforcement process, to distract from their guilt. Democrat media spend HOURS coldly dissecting the forensics of an attempted Trump assassination but never once deeply examine their role in fostering it.
Meanwhile, the Democrat-run Department of Homeland Security continues to deny sufficient security to the bogeyman Trump. Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss) and other “Progressive” Democrats advanced a bill to deny Secret Service protection to the former president. Thompson and pals defended their bill even after the first attempted Trump assassination. Imagine if there was no Secret Service protection on Sunday. Trump would likely be dead. Bennie Thompson wouldn’t shed a tear.
The Democratic Party engaged, by their admission, in myriad questionable shenanigans to win the 2020 election. But none of them, not one, had to do with ballot fraud. January 6, 2017, was a moral and constitutional bright line for me. As a result, I did not vote for Trump in the 2024 primary. And were it not for how outside the bounds of truth, accountability, and the rule of law that the corrupt and derelict Biden/Harris administration has been, I might have considered not voting for Trump again.
Regardless of your views of Trump or his antics from November 3, 2020, till now, let alone before that date, they do not justify his being murdered. Yet, as copycats mount, that is an increasingly likely result. 28% of Democrats would like to see it happen. In ascertaining what drove would-be-assassins to act, 45% of those polled said it was anti-Trump rhetoric, while 41% said it was news coverage. A separate poll found that 89% of news coverage of Trump is negative.
The Democratic Party has brazenly created a violent and vengeful political climate that enables targeted assassinations, crime as reparations, riots as social justice, vandalism as speech, CIA domestic election interference as fair political play, and lawfare, harassment, surveillance, and censorship of "enemies of the state.” Yet American media, politicians, and law enforcement do little about it.
Democrats continue to get away with their behavior because most Americans have been rendered docile through addiction, legal pot, media and social media bamboozlement, censorship, and the endless stream of bread-and-circus distraction. To many of these ahistorical and compliant Americans, the second assassination attempt on Trump was just more Orwellian disinfo-tainment. “What else is on tonight, hun?” The Society of the Spectacle soldiers on.
The Democratic Party and its media pals didn't directly threaten the President on Sunday. They didn't have to.
You might need to up the dosage on the Abilify. Lots of coarse ad hominems here. I covered the horror of J6 in this piece and others. The Haitians being at risk hoax was debunked. If you actually read the piece, I am not defending Trump's statements or behavior. I am just asking Democrats to own theirs. If Democrats were actually serious about "saving democracy," why would they keep pushing rhetoric that green-lights his assassination? Believe me, Dems won't like what comes after. 28% of Democrats said they want Trump dead. Seems from your Trump-derangement, you might be among that number. Do you want Trump assassinated? If so, how would you do it? Wait, seems like the crazy guy, Nate Osh, pulled his comment. CFR folks, watch out for this guy Nate Osh.
