You'd think with the laundry list of horribles they’ve enabled, the Democrats would have been taken to the woodshed this week. Instead, GOP leadership is getting the firm rebuke. The paddles are out!
Republicans were dealt the best hand I've seen in decades: roaring inflation, low labor participation, an open border and concomitant fentanyl crisis that’s killed nearly 70,000 Americans this year alone, massively rising crime, insane policies like catch-and-release and no-cash bail, the debacle in Afghanistan, the sexualizing of preteens in public schools, and the general Dem-enabled craziness and chaos. And they blew it. The 3M's of McCarthy, McDaniel and McConnell need to go. This GOP leadership team has failed spectacularly for three straight elections.
A de facto pink slip also needs to be delivered to one Donald J. Trump. Orange Man was a refreshing torrent of creative firepower on the world political stage. His courage, chutzpah, and prioritizing of America's forgotten working class were revolutionary. Hillbilly Elegy author J.D. Vance would never have won his Ohio Senate race without Trump dramatically elevating Vance’s messaging and profile. Trump’s exposure of the cowardly lies and hypocrisies of the Woke Stalinist Left was as hilarious as it was necessary. His signature successes––including The Abraham Accords, The Great American Outdoors Act, Operation Warp Speed, the Save Our Seas Act, and his sundry efforts to secure our southern border and restore American energy independence––will, in time, when the Dem-inculcated hysteria around the man subsides, be seen as the transformative moves they were. Trump created the pioneering America First template that more policy-smart and nuanced, if less charismatic, leaders like Ron Desantis are riding to big victories in formerly blue states like Florida.
Now Trump needs to exit the stage he created. As Trump himself would admit, it's about wins and losses. Trump has three straight catastrophic defeats on his watch: the 2018 midterms, 2020 general, and the 2022 midterms. With his win in 2016, Trump is 1-3 in races that deeply matter. If he announces his 2024 bid before the December 5 Georgia Senate runoff, he will surely cause the GOP to lose the Senate again. He must be stopped.
There is now too much at stake, especially with a benighted, emboldened President who daftly proclaimed, as the midterm results climaxed, that he will not change ONE THING in his extreme, imbecilic, inflationary policy agenda. Democrats keep seeing a legislative mandate when common-sense independents like myself who’ve been deciding recent elections just want the stupidity, immaturity, and craziness on both sides to cease and desist.
To achieve that end, The Don must go. He got a raw deal in 2016 and 2017 from Hillary, the DNC, the Obama Justice Department, and the corrupt partisan media around the Steele Dossier, Russiagate, FISA court abuse, and more. The 2020 election was also gamed by media, social media, and search in outrageous ways against him. Life is not fair.
But the leader of the most powerful nation in the world should never make excuses, let alone orchestrate a world-historical election denial scheme, especially when his opponents were the far greater election deniers (in 2000, 2004, and 2016). Instead of protesting the 2020 result, Trump should have taken the high road. Had he done so, he would have been the prohibitive favorite in 2024.
Politics is a blood sport, and, in the end, the captivating bodacious braggart was too much of a pussy cat. His desperate need for love and adulation was so great that he refused to do hard and necessary things: crack down hard on Antifa/BLM rioters and their criminal enablers in government; override incompetent Woke mayors to halt out-of-control crime; take out the Mexican cartels operating freely on the border and inside our country; root out treasonous saboteurs inside the deep state. Trump was soft and conciliatory when merciless strength was most needed. Leaders like Desantis will not hesitate.
With Trump whisked off the stage, we can better complete Trump's project of making America truly great again, by depriving his ineffectual and TDS-afflicted opponents of the one thing that gives them life: himself.
love it. mr crotty calls it like it is.
But how do you get the Trumpers to agree? It is a cult of personality - and they will take down the entire country with "but his policies . . . but he was framed . . . but he didn't say that . . ." etc.
