Biden is in big trouble. Nixon-level trouble.
In violation of federal law, Joe Biden ("The Brand") used the power and prestige of his VP office to add value to his son’s private business. Whether he benefited is immaterial, though he likely did.
I’ve been around long enough to witness several impeachment inquiries. Nixon’s use of executive branch power to spy on political opponents was palpably criminal. He was right to resign before he was impeached. Bill Clinton’s lying under oath about “sexual relations” with White House intern Monica Lewinsky further sullied his reputation and that of the Oval Office but did not amount to a high crime or misdemeanor. Though his sex addiction made him vulnerable to enemy extortion and likely caused a reverse Wag the Dog response when it came to Bin Laden, Clinton was right to stay on.
As validated by the House Oversight Committee investigating the influence-peddling of Biden, Inc., Trump was right to look into Biden family pay-for-play corruption with Ukraine energy concern Burisma as well as Ukraine’s supporting role in the Trump/Russia collusion hoax, since those schemes undermined Trump's foreign policy and U.S. standing in the world. Trump’s second impeachment over not moving swiftly enough to call out the January 6 riots––that broke out after his constitutionally protected protest of an election marred by ballot harvesting, Zuck Bucks, state-sponsored censorship, intel chief lies, and unconstitutional and unilateral changes to state election procedure––was more legit, even if two of the current January 6 cases against him are not.
But even with these examples, the slowly engulfing trauma faced by President Joseph Robinette Biden is more dire. When the just-approved House impeachment inquiry concludes, Biden will at least be charged with using the immense power of the Vice Presidency to add value to his son’s foreign lobbying business, performing executive branch favors on behalf of those paid interests, and/or lying about those relationships while impeding an investigation into them.
Up until this moment, Biden benefited from a protective do-nothing press and a politicized Justice Department which––as Robert Kagan shamefully and disingenuously opines in the Trump-deranged Pravda on the Potomac––must do everything possible to prevent the interventionist uni-party’s bogeyman from returning to power. Kagan’s authoritarian call to arms is not just hypocritical, it’s straight from the Democrat projection playbook. Kagan cherry-picks Trump comments on January 6––classic Democratic deflection––while ignoring the primary issue that rightly galvanizes Trump supporters: the deep state’s de facto coup against the former President.
The Get Trump narrative is now Democratic gospel. To Kagan and his cultists, we’re back in Weimar Germany, and neither the U.S. judicial system, the 25th amendment, nor the U.S. electoral system can stop their Orange Hitler from enacting his vengeance. For the true authoritarians of the Left, firing those who enabled the Steele Dossier lies and broader Trump/collusion hoax, concomitant FISA court abuse, state-sponsored censorship (see Twitter Files) of Republicans and Trumpers, and spying on innocent Americans is “fascist.” What Kagan and his pals fear is a return to first principles that will prevent such a vengeful hijacking of justice from happening again.
Still, as I have made clear, Trump will not win. It’s precisely the fiery, fallacious, and unhinged jeremiads by Kagan and his paranoid hyperbolic ilk that will again motivate the low-intensity Democratic voter. In the information wars that will come next summer, the election will be pitched as a battle over who is the greater “threat to democracy”––Trump the anti-inventionist populist, or Biden the corrupt, big government, war hack?
Controlling the organs of technology, social media, media, entertainment, and publishing ensures that Democrats can silence, soften, or censor most negative news about their enfeebled standard-bearer while painting him as a victim of “Extreme MAGA” harassment. Combine that with the DNC’s vaunted vote-grabbing machine and ability to leverage the Dobbs decision to turn out swing state women, along with the carrots of legal pot and loan forgiveness to entice young voters, Biden should cruise to victory, even with Robert Kennedy, Jr., Socialists Jill Stein and Cornel West, and No Labels’ Joe Manchin also on the ballot.
Based on The Donald’s mercurial personality, his anti-NeoCon POV, the effectiveness of Democratic cherry-picking and disinformation, and the fact that every time Trump becomes more visible he scares away moderates, 10-15% of Republicans will never vote for the guy––more than compensating for Biden’s bleed to third party pretenders. Biden’s still-extant lead over Trump among “likely voters” further confirms the trend we’ve seen over three straight election cycles.
Come 2025, however, once Biden has secured reelection, “the chickens will come home to roost”––to quote Obama’s favorite anti-Semite, Reverend Jeremiah Wright––as the depth of the President’s moral and mental decline becomes too much for his party, family, and donors to bear. Biden will resign, just like Dick Nixon resigned, nearly halfway through his second term. Vice President Kamala Harris will become our nation’s first female President of Jamaican/Indian descent. She will be crushed come 2028, her most enduring contribution to our national discourse––the weirdly misplaced cackle.
The road to this inevitable outcome will be paved with a slow drip of impossible-to-ignore facts about the Biden Crime Family. “Free at last” to perform their 4th estate function––having abdicated all norms of truth and fairness to Get Trump––our press corps will finally acknowledge the gravity of the charges against Joe Biden. Clear evidence of burner phones, encrypted apps, more than twenty shell companies, mystery loans, fake names for the Vice President to evade detection, emails showing blatant quid pro quo, and top-secret discussions of U.S. policy shared with the family’s overseas clients has already forced Biden, Inc. to set up a communications war room inside the Old Executive Office Building. It will only get worse from here as the President is consumed by two Nixonian questions: what did he know and when did he know it?
Biden, Inc. won the 2020 election in part by recruiting former intel hacks to lie about the existence of Hunter Biden’s laptop. Since then, the Biden disinformation team has kept a compliant press off the scent by framing the Joe-and-Hunter relationship in tender familial terms. How dare “MAGA Republicans” criticize a father and son wrestling with the ravages of death (Beau, Naomi, and Neilia Biden) and addiction (booze, coke, crack, porn, sex and whatever else Hunter is into). It’s a playbook straight out of 12-step rooms in Woke, BLM-ravaged, Santa Monica.
Of course, only a selfish recovering addict--and I've known a few--would make the narcissistic claim that their addiction excuses or minimizes their criminal wrongdoing. The political pathologizing of Democratic malfeasance might work in Trump-deranged, celebrity-obsessed, left-coast recovery communities––where signifying GOP hatred is as important as getting sober––but it ain't flying in the current U.S. House, which has been painstakingly slow and deliberate in documenting crimes committed by the President.
Biden’s Inc.’s goalpost-shifting proves they know this is heading to NixonLand. We've gone from the lie that Joe Biden “had no knowledge” of Hunter's hugely compromising foreign business dealings, to the President “was not involved” in those dealings, to Hunter’s disastrous Wednesday Capitol Hill press conference claim—as he blew off a congressional subpoena while standing on the Senate side to avoid being arrested for criminal contempt on the House side—that his father did not "financially benefit" from those dealings. Substitute “Watergate break-in” for “dealings” and you catch the grift. Dysregulated and desperate, Hunter just confirmed what his business partner Devon Archer told Congress: Joe Biden was "the brand.”
Memo to Dems: The President does not need to have financially benefited from pay-to-play schemes to be found guilty. Those “loan paybacks” Joe received matter not a whit. Bottom line: Joe Biden used the power and prestige of his VP office to add value to his son’s private enterprise. Whether he benefited is immaterial, though––if Biden, Inc. business partner Tony Bobulinski is to be believed––he likely did.
But Joe Biden does not need to have violated the General Federal Bribery Act (section 18 USC201) let alone the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) to be in deep trouble. What matters is that his son, his son’s pals, and his brothers closed deals with foreign clients based on their admitted proximity to “the brand”—as demonstrated at dinners, on phone calls, on foreign business trips, in emails, on texts, and golf outings. This is criminal, and certainly impeachable––dwarfing anything for which Nixon, Clinton, or Trump were accused, as spelled out in the following federal statute, which every federal employee is quizzed on as part of their Capitol Hill training:
§ 2635.702 Use of public office for private gain:
An employee shall not use his public office for his own private gain, for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private gain of friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity, including nonprofit organizations of which the employee is an officer or member, and persons with whom the employee has or seeks employment or business relations.
As evidence of Nixon’s misdeeds started to leak out in 1972, Republican voters did not yet believe he was a crook. When Nixon was sworn in for a second term in January 1973, his approval rating was 60%. That number was cut in half by March when one of the five convicted Watergate “Plumbers,” James McCord, informed Judge John Sirica that he was pressured into taking a guilty plea by Attorney General John Mitchell, unleashing a full House investigation into all things Nixon.
With interest rates and inflation set to normalize next year, and the latest war party adventures wrapping up, Joe Biden could, right on cue, enjoy Nixon-level approval numbers come early 2025. One can then foresee the same Nixon-like defection playing out with any number of Biden family versions of James McCord.
What Democrats don’t grasp is that with this week’s House vote in favor of an impeachment inquiry, Republicans now have subpoena power. The whole band of Biden grifters will be called to testify, along with IRS whistleblowers and foreign and domestic business “associates.” There will be no more avoiding testimony. No more claims of “false facts.” The whole sordid scam show will be exposed for the world to see.
Until now, Democrats stuck their heads in the sand, exclaiming, “There’s no smoking gun!” But Nixon didn’t go down because of a smoking gun, though the 18-1/2 minute tape gap didn’t help. He went down because, one by one, “all the president’s men” turned on him. It was not one big thing, but several small and serious things. The drumbeat of damaging revelations became too much for Nixon to spin. The same will happen with the devoted family man, President Joseph Robinette Biden, when his prodigal son Hunter, as part of his “recovery,” feels compelled to finally tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
