In a battle between The Evil Party and The Stupid Party, Evil wins nearly every time.
Nobody does wicked shenanigans quite like Dems: They are urban. They are young. They are multi-racial. They are creative. They are merciless. That's why "The Evil Party" is likely to win again in 2024
As Machiavelli explained centuries ago in The Prince, if a well-intentioned political leader does not match his opponent’s evil, he loses. All “the good” the prince intends is for naught if he fails to do what is necessary. From Tammany Hall to Boss Tweed to the Chicago Machine, from Hillary’s Steele Dossier to Schiff and Swalwell’s Russia collusion hoax, to Team Biden’s election-changing intel chief letter treasonously claiming Hunter’s laptop was “Russian disinformation,” Democrats always stoop to conquer. This is why the Democratic Party, our nation’s “Evil Party”—slavery, Jim Crow, Summer of Insurrection—per former Wyoming Senator Alan Simpson, wins more elections than it should given how out-of-step its positions are with most voters.
Democrats grasp that politics is class warfare, race warfare, gender warfare, age warfare, legal warfare, media warfare, and deep state warfare. Their Realpolitik toolkit is impressive in its ability to go up to the line of legality but rarely cross it. That’s because the Democrats come armed with Ivy-trained lawyers ready to steer the party through the maze of Byzantine rules toward victory.
By charging Trump with the crimes they themselves committed, Democrats are pointing out how stupid “The Stupid Party”––the GOP, in Simpson’s description––truly is. Election denial? Keeping classified documents? Hush money to hookers? The Dems have been there, done that.
Nobody does questionable shenanigans quite like the Dems: censorship of opponents, ballot harvesting, unilateral changes to state election laws without state legislative approval, race-baiting, disinformation, strategically funding weak Republican candidates they think they have a better chance of beating, massive paid armies of door-knockers and strategic texters, early voting, unsecured drop boxes, mass mail-in voting, no-signature ballots, Soros-funded indoctrination in schools, plus their fallback: media, social media, and search capture. They are impressive. They are urban. They are young. They are multi-racial. They are creative. They are merciless.
This is why the Evil Party is likely to win again in 2024. Not because there is anything special about the corrupt, addled influence-peddler shuffling around the Oval Office. Joe Biden is a placeholder. Dems don’t care who their standard-bearer is as long as that person checks their main boxes: abortion-on-demand, open borders, soft-on-crime, gun control, diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) mandates, the duplicative environmental social and governance (ESG) mandates, green new boondoggles, and all-out war on Republicans.
There is supposedly lots of kvetching these days from Democrats worried about Biden’s age and incompetence. That’s clickbait hogwash. Dems are sticking with Biden hell or high water. Not only because he’s proven he can crush Trump, but because Dems don’t care about Joe’s infirmities. See the John Fetterman Senate race for an analog. The stroke-stricken Fetterman could barely speak and often made zero sense but the Democrats propelled Fetterman to victory anyway. C’mon man, it's about the D before the name.
The Democrats, with strong assistance from their Big Tech backers, have already won the propaganda war, effectively persuading low-information swing voters that a vote for Republicans is a vote for tyranny. Nice switcheroo. If corrupt, duplicitous Joe Biden can blink one eye, he will remain the Democratic nominee and general election victor.
As the Stupid Party, Republicans are currently obsessing over whether Trump can beat any Democrat. As the slow and artless fools that they are, Republicans don’t yet grasp that unless Trump is on the ballot, the largest cohort of GOP voters will not turn out to vote. It’s Trump or nothing for MAGA. So, if Republicans get their minds right, Trump will be the nominee, no matter what partisan prosecutors and judges inflict on him in courts of law.
That means, groans the punditry, it will be Biden versus Trump Round Two come November. Democrats will again gin up the urban black and female vote, knowing that the preposterously strange, infantile, grossly incompetent yet racially and gender correct Kamala Harris––who was summarily rejected by Democrats when she ran for President––is likely to take over, in a rare rebuke of The Peter Principle, at some point in a second Biden term. This also represents a tiny sliver of hopeful stratagem for The Stupid Party: run Nikki Haley as Trump’s running mate. This juxtaposes, in the VP slot, a boring but competent woman of color against a daft and useless one. If either President goes down (Biden due to health, Trump due to the 14th amendment), Americans would feel more assured with Simple Nikki over Krazy Kamala.
Moreover, there are three third-party dynamics that could suck enough votes away from Biden to give Orange the nod in key swing states: a Green Party candidacy led by charismatic Cornell West, a third-party candidacy led by intriguing conspiracy nut Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and a No Labels one featuring West Virginia centrist Joe Manchin. Trump remains underwater with the key independents and moderate Republicans he needs for victory. His peak popularity is much lower than in 2016 due to the larger contingent of Never Trumpers, whom he will never win back. So, he needs to massively dilute Biden’s support. If he can do that, miracle of miracles, Stupid wins, Evil loses.
